Mahmoud began his career at YKems, a boutique advisory firm, where he worked on performance improvement, strategy, and public-private Policy projects, building strong foundations in analysis and strategic thinking. He then joined Emerging Capital Partners (ECP), a pan-African private equity firm, spending five years across deal sourcing, due diligence, execution, portfolio management, and exits in multiple sectors and geographies.

Mahmoud later became part of the founding team of the Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund, shaping the fund’s design, fundraising, and first investments. A dual Moroccan-French national, he holds degrees from Mines ParisTech and MIT, and brings over ten years’ experience in African investments.
