Marina is based in Morocco and has been leading the integration of Sustainability in the investment process at IAF since 2024. She joined as a Principal from the London-based Sustainability team at Actis GP. Here she also analysed ESG risk and value creation opportunities in the due diligence of potential infrastructure and real estate transactions, and the performance and monitoring of portfolio companies globally.

For the previous decade Marina was a sustainability consultant, advising public and private sector developers and investors on sustainability performance and risks. Her focus was in sub-Saharan Africa and in issues relating to social
performance including land acquisition, livelihood restoration, stakeholder engagement and community investment. This included secondments with Rio Tinto in Guinea and Serbia, and with Olam in Gabon.

Marina holds an M.A in Geography from Oxford University, is a Certified expert in Sustainable Finance through Frankfurt Business School and is a Chartered Environmentalist with the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
