Rivha, a South African national, is a seasoned investment professional with over fifteen years of experience in corporate finance, project finance, and private equity, with a strong focus on renewable energy and infrastructure across emerging markets.
She began her career in 2010 as an Electrical Engineer at Anglo American Thermal Coal in Secunda, South Africa. In 2011, she joined Barclays–Absa Africa as an Investment Banking Analyst, supporting M&A, DCM, and Project Finance teams.
From 2013 to 2018, Rivha served at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), where she rose from Associate to Investment Manager. She then spent a year at MedAccess Guarantee and a year at CDC (BII) Group in London.
Since 2021, Rivha has served with Norfund as South and East Africa Regional Lead for Private Equity Renewable Energy Investments, a position from which she joins us.
Rivha holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town (2009), a Master’s in Finance and Investments from Wits Business School (2016), a Master of Finance from the University of Cambridge (2019), and an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford (2026).
